The Paradigm 200B is a little larger than its smaller sibling - the Paradigm 100B. Both share the same X-PAL Tweeter so high-end detail is similar. But the extra space in the '200B allows for the larger 165mm bass/mid driver to be installed. Obviously the '200B delivers a bit more depth and is a better choice if you have a bigger room - say 24 square meters. Nicely finished off and looking good at both the front - remove the grilles for a more natural, open sound-stage - and at the back where you have a recessed section that has multi-way speaker wire terminals. We recommend you spend a few extra dollars on some "Banana" plugs and good speaker wire. You may like one of Audio Trends terminated speaker wire bundles - famous names with high-end performance at a great low price!

A Closer Look

The Premier 200B’s attractively tapered cabinet cunningly hides the true finesse and scale of its sound reproduction. It is a 2-driver 2-way design which incorporates a 25mm (1”) X-PAL dome Tweeter with perforated phase-aligning lens combined with a 165mm (6½”) ART surround carbon-infused polypropylene Mid/Bass driver, also sporting the unique perforated phase-aligning lens. With low frequency extension down to 45Hz the 200B can fill a small to medium sized room with vivid sound full of impact and emotion.

Patented Perforated Phase-Aligning (PPA) Tweeter & Midrange Lens Technology:

Distinctive perforated lens in front of the tweeter and midrange drivers increase and smooth output without coloring the sound, while also protecting the drivers from external damage (loud parties excepted).

Patented Active Ridge Technology (ART) Surrounds:

The Premier range features Paradigm’s patented Active Ridge Technology (ART) surrounds, made in-house and overmolded directly onto each woofer and midrange cone. This design achieves greater excursion, for a 3dB gain in output and 50% reduction in distortion. Crafted from injection-molded thermoplastic elastomer, ART surrounds are more durable and more reliable, ensuring a lifetime of superior sound.

Crafted in Canada:

Premier Series speakers are designed, engineered, and made in Paradigm’s state-of-the-art 225,000 ft2 Canadian facility. We chose heavy duty, non-resonant 3/4-inch MDF, with optimally placed interior bracing, and reinforced front baffles to ensure an audio performance beyond any other in this price range.
